Overview:
This course offers you an opportunity to master roof design. Throughout this course, you'll learn how to draft structural layouts, calculate roof loads, analyze roof elements, and design roofs, all while comparing results. You'll gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, allowing you to create structural roof plans and member schedules. Additionally, this course provides a deep understanding of buildability and construction through real-life simulations and interactive training.

  • Drafting structural layout for the real-life projects you will be designing and drafting throughout the training program (using AutoCAD).
  • Calculate loading for roof elements based on AS1170
  • Analysis of roof elements (i.e. rafters). using Structural Toolkit and SpaceGASS
  • Designing roof elements (i.e. rafters) based on AS1720 & AS1684 using Structural Toolkit and manual computations, then comparing the results.
  • Drafting structural roof plan using AutoCAD and creating roof member schedule.

What is the required score to pass the final exam and how many attempts do I get?

To pass the final exam, you must score at least 90 out of 100 points. You have a total of three attempts to pass the exam. 

How long will I have access to complete this course?

Students have 2 months from their enrollment date to complete their studies and submit all assessments and exams for this course. (Students may extend the duration of their enrollment on a month-by-month basis – extra fees apply). We recommend a minimum of 10hrs of study per week.

  • Minimum second year of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • IELTS 6.0 score overall with no less than 6.0 in each skill, or equivalent if applicable
  • Abide by the LearnPedia Student Code of Conduct, including maintaining professional standards and at the host company
  • Be 18 years of age or older

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
